Do I Need Therapy?

Therapy can be a game-changer for someone who’s experiencing mental and emotional issues. It’s an outlet to channel your thoughts in hope of finding solutions to whatever issues you’re facing. It’s the first step in your healing journey and simply talking it out can make you feel better. While it’s comforting to talk to a family member or close friends, sometimes you may need a more expert guidance to help resolve your issues.

They maybe psychologists, counsellors or perhaps licensed family or marriage therapists. Therapists are trained to listen and advise in making positive changes that can help overcome your challenges. But once you do, it can help you to become mentally and emotionally stronger.

Recovering from mental health takes time, and it may take you several weeks before you get comfortable with the prescribed therapy. But it is a stepping stone for many in achieving a better mental health.
